A Lightroom alternative for Fujifilm shooters: keep your recipes, own your editor

A Fujifilm RAW of a delivery truck, developed in Sablefilm

If you shoot Fujifilm, you've probably spent time dialling in film simulation recipes: a sim, a tone curve, grain, colour chrome. The JPEGs look great. Then you open the RAF in a desktop editor and you're back to a flat file, rebuilding the look by hand. And you're paying every month for the privilege.

Sablefilm was built by a Fujifilm shooter to fix exactly that.

Your in-camera recipe, applied to the RAW

Sablefilm reads the film simulation, tone and grain settings your camera stores in the RAF and applies them as your starting point. You get the look you chose when you took the picture, with all the latitude of the RAW file underneath it. From there you can push exposure, recover highlights, mask the sky or warm a face, without losing the recipe.

Bring your Lightroom presets with you

Switching editors usually means starting over. Sablefilm imports the Lightroom presets you already own (.xmp and .lrtemplate), and it can write your edits back out as a Lightroom-compatible XMP. Your old looks come with you, and you're not locked in.

A full RAW editor, not a filter app

  • Local masks: subject, brush, lasso, linear, radial and range, stacked and adjustable
  • Global and masked colour correction
  • AI noise reduction for high-ISO files
  • Lens correction for distortion and vignetting
  • 173 film-inspired looks, with grain, halation and bloom
  • Retouch and clone, crop and straighten, before and after, true 100% zoom
  • Export to JPEG, HEIC or TIFF

Your originals are never touched

Sablefilm is folder-based. Open a folder and your RAWs appear as a contact sheet. There's no catalogue to import into or migrate later. Edits are saved in a small file beside each photo, and the original RAF stays exactly as it came off the card.
